TerrAdapt was featured as a tool that could help catalyze a province-wide restoration effort at a recent conference that was hosted by RESOLVE Canada and attend by 150 attendees that included ministers and government officials, First Nations, non-profit organizations, foundations, industry, and scientists. Restoration Conference 2023: Working Together to Build an Indigenous Led Restoration Effort was held in Vancouver, BC, and focused on how a restoration economy could be designed and led by First Nations in the province. With TerrAdapt operational for southern British Columbia, Carly Vynne, TerrAdapt's Cascadia lead, spoke to how TerrAdapt could be built out for the rest of the Province, and support all partners in designing a restoration strategy that is climate smart, readily able to monitor progress, and can be responsive to the landscape changes that will occur as restoration progresses.
