This World Wildlife Day the key word is adapt

This World Wildlife Day is March 3rd, 2022, and to help celebrate Tanya Birch, Program Manager, Forests & Nature, Google Earth & Earth Engine, has written this wonderful blog post about our TerrAdapt: Cascadia efforts and work with partners in Washington State. We are indebted to the ongoing support of the Google Earth and Earth Engine team.

Presenter: Native American Fish and Wildlife Society 38th Annual Conference

In October 2021, the team was invited to present at the NAFWS annual conference in Spokane, WA. The presentation highlighted how TerrAdapt's monitoring of the broad Cascadia region and climate projections can support local biodiversity stewardship actions and adaptation planning. The large geographies of Indigenous ancestral lands include a range of ownership and physical barriers for monitoring access and trends. The seamless and current information in TerrAdapt's data and maps support Indigenous land managers' actions.
